My career choices are very broad, art and design is a broad subject with several career opportunities within itself. For me, taking this course was to benefit myself and my passion for art; I have all hope of progressing into a creative career but it isn't a necessity. I think that being in a creative career would benefit me a lot as having a passion for your job will always help you to strive and achieve more.

I would like to open up my own business in casting and keepsakes, creating hand and feet casts, and personalised items such as frames and key rings. To do this I don't specifically need any qualifications, although the GCSE qualifications I have in Maths, English, Graphics, Statistics, Art and ICT along with the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art and Design that I will have; will benefit me a lot throughout my journey. I may need a DBS check as I would have to work with a lot of children as well as adults. I would also need to register my business as a sole trader, this means that I would be self employed. I would need to pay tax on my profits, I would also be solely be responsible for any losses the business makes, and responsible for following the rules of running and naming a business.
